Early Career Framework 2025/26

The Early Career Framework (ECF) sets out what early career teachers are entitled to learn about and learn how to do when they start their career.

Provider-led programmes (Full Induction Programmes) provide high-quality training and professional development materials for early career teachers and their mentors.

Schools can access their account and the latest information on the DfE portal DfE Portal

If a school wishes to swap from another provider to BPN, they can make the change when they register new ECTs on the DfE portal. They will also need to register with BPN and select Bishop Challoner Training School Alliance via the BPN website at https://ccms.bpnsystems.net/ecf_application/

National Professional Qualifications (NPQs) are transferable qualifications targeted at different groups of teachers to provide a coherent framework for development at every stage of their career.

• National Professional Qualification for Senior Leadership (NPQSL)
• National Professional Qualification for Headship (NPQH)

Science CPD

We’re excited to continue offering specialised Science CPD (Continuous Professional Development) for primary and secondary teachers, as well as science technicians, across the Midlands.

Our mission is to empower school leaders, teachers, and technicians to deliver outstanding science and STEM education from early years right through to A Level. Throughout the academic year, we provide a range of courses—whether face-to-face, hybrid, or remote—designed to raise the quality of science teaching in your school. All of our CPD is delivered by highly experienced science teachers who have been specifically trained to provide professional development.
